Internet Safety & Cyberbullying Presentation for Parents- 27th May -7pm
As part of our SPHE programme, we have arranged for a speaker to address Parents on 27th May at 7pm in relation to Internet Safety & Cyberbullying. The same speaker will address (via Zoom) the children in 5th & 6th class on this day.
Fergal Flanagan is a Masters Psychology graduate from University of Limerick and has worked nationwide delivering presentations to pupils and supporting teachers and parents in this area.
This presentation will discuss the area of cyber-bullying and Internet safety and what parents can do for its intervention and prevention.
Obsession with computer games, engaging with inappropriate content online, addiction to mobile phones, time online, respectful communication, privacy settings and parental controls are some of the topics discussed.
The presentation will be delivered by Zoom and the log in details will be sent via text message and email later in the week.
Optional School Lunch Delivery Service
‘The Lunch Bag’ service is a healthy school lunch nationwide delivery service operating from Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. The company offers a wide variety of foods each day and includes house-hold brands which adhere to the school’s healthy eating policy. The service provides covid sterile lunches brought directly to the classroom daily.
All children in the school will bring home a free sample bag on Tuesday May 25th. Lunches can be ordered for delivery, from Thursday May 27th. Please note, if you wish to order a lunch for your child, you need to order before 12noon the day before you want lunch.

Fun Day – 14th June
As it is not advisable to make unnecessary journeys by bus, due to the Coronavirus, we have organised a Fun Day for the children in Mrs. Murphy’s Room and Mr. Duggan’s room. There will be a bouncy castle and obstacle course on the Monday 14th June. The cost per child will be €10.
The children in 5th & 6th are going to Ballyhass Lakes on this day also. We hope that it will be an enjoyable day for all.
School Reports
The annual school reports will be sent home with your child on Friday 11th June.
Summer Holidays
School will close for a half-day (12pm) on Friday 18th June.
