Well done to the boys and girls in 4th, 5th and 6th who competed in a number of blitzes over the past few weeks – boys football, girls football and a mixed rugby blitz. The children represented the school very well as always and we hope the children enjoyed the days.

The new basketball hoops have been installed and they have greatly enhanced our outdoor playing facilities. I wish to thank the Parents’ Association for their ongoing work in fundraising and a big thank you to the parent body for supporting these events. We are still accepting bags of clothes for a clothes collection – I will let you know of the final date in the coming weeks.

I would like to congratulate our past pupil, Conor Noonan, who is currently playing for the Cork minor hurling team. We are very proud of our past pupils and we love to watch them flourish and make the most of their wonderful skills and talents. Best of luck to Conor and his teammates in the upcoming All-Ireland qualifier.

While the weather has been mixed, hopefully we will get some more nice days in the coming few weeks – Should we get high temperatures (fingers crossed!) can you please make sure your child has a sun hat and suncream applied in the morning before school.  Children can wear shorts on warm days.

Many thanks,

Ailín.
